Songs
The workflow
Everything in SongChart starts as an idea and moves through three stages — Note, Song, and SongChart. Each stage has a purpose, and you control when something is ready to move forward.
Note
A freeform idea captured in the Idea Pad. Private to you, no structure required. Jot down lyrics, chords, or just a title — whatever you have.
Song
A work-in-progress in your song library. You're actively writing — adding sections, entering chords, refining structure. Shows a WIP badge. Not yet shareable.
SongChart
A certified, finished chart. Unlocks arrangements, visibility controls, print, and Live mode. The only stage that can be shared with your team or made public.
How you move between stages
Note → Song
When a Note is ready to develop, click Convert to Song in the Idea Pad. The Note is deleted and a Song appears in your library.
Song → SongChart
When the song is finished and all sections have a type assigned, click Certify on the song page. The WIP badge is replaced with a certified badge and all features unlock.
