Inviting members
Team admins can invite anyone to join by email. Invitations are valid for 7 days and are tied to a specific email address.
Sending an invitation
From your team's profile page, go to the Settings tab, then find the Invites section. Enter the person's email address and click Invite.
What happens next
The outcome depends on whether the invitee already has a SongChart account.
Existing account
If the email matches an existing SongChart account, the person is added to the team immediately — no invite link needed. They'll see the team in their workspace switcher right away.
No account yet
A pending invite is created. SongChart generates a unique invite link — share it with the person directly. When they sign up with that email address and open the link, they're automatically added to the team.
Accepting an invitation
When someone opens an invite link, SongChart checks that the signed-in account's email matches the address the invite was sent to. If it matches, they're added to the team immediately.
Not signed in? The person is redirected to sign in first, then returned to the invite link automatically.
Wrong email? If the signed-in account's email doesn't match the invite, they'll see an error. They'll need to sign in with the correct email address.
Already a member? The invite link is silently marked as used and they're taken to the dashboard.
Pending invites
The Invites section of the Settings tab shows all pending invitations with the recipient's email and when it was sent. Invites expire after 7 days.
To cancel an invite before it's accepted, click the revoke button next to it. If you need to re-invite someone after expiry, simply send a new invitation.
